Facade Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate engineering and design documents including shop drawings, fabrication details, extrusions profiles, and structural load calculations related to curtain walls, skylights, and ACP cladding systems.
• Monitor quality assurance and quality control processes such as factory cutting and assembly tolerances, surface treatments like anodizing and powder coating, and conduct performance mock-up tests covering water resistance, air tightness, and structural integrity.
• Lead site installation activities, troubleshooting installation challenges with waterproofing and interfaces, ensuring all work adheres to approved drawings as well as ASTM, BS, and EN international standards.
• Coordinate effective communication among main contractors, consultants, and clients while managing material estimations, technical approvals, and project scheduling.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering disciplines.
• More than seven years of proven experience with structural glazing solutions, stick and unitized curtain wall assemblies, and aluminum manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit (BIM), STAAD.Pro structural analysis software, and Orgadata (LogiKal) is highly advantageous.
• Experience within the GCC region preferred along with UPDA/MMUP professional registration and a valid driving license for Qatar.
