BIM Coordinator

Role Overview

The BIM Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities across Architectural, Civil, and Structural projects. This encompasses running clash detection processes, validating models, preparing documentation, and coordinating closely with project teams and subcontractors to meet project requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with project teams and subcontractors to synchronize BIM model advancement with project needs and specifications.
• Perform clash detection within BIM models and produce comprehensive reports for conflict identification and resolution.
• Prepare BIM models to facilitate documentation, constructability assessments, and support field operations during project execution.
• Review and verify BIM models and drawings for precision and adherence to established project standards.
• Support BIM and overall project teams by organizing coordination meetings and swiftly addressing BIM-related challenges.
• Lead BIM model creation efforts and implement Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods from design through construction to the as-built stages.
• Maintain and regularly update VDC execution plans, assisting project teams with all VDC and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) related issues.
• Manage construction sequencing and scheduling activities, ensuring these are effectively integrated with construction BIM models.
• Collaborate with consultants to document, track, and update design modifications promptly.
• Assist the project team with VDC/IDD project configurations, create custom Revit families according to project demands, and resolve BIM design complications.
• Coordinate updates for construction and as-built BIM models to reflect ongoing changes.
• Participate in technical and progress meetings with consultants and housing development boards.
• Oversee proper data exchange internally and externally, validating the level of detail, modeling content, and quality standards.
