Supervisor - Engineering

Position Overview

This full-time role based in the Central Area District North of Al Masjid Al Nabawi in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, involves supervising engineering operations with a focus on maintenance, installation, and preventive care of tools and equipment. As part of the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts team under Marriott International, the role emphasizes guest service, team leadership, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, upkeep, and preventive maintenance of tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters precisely to ensure optimal functioning.
• Locate and operate all necessary shut-off valves for safety and maintenance purposes.
• Manage inventory by ordering, labelling, and stocking parts and supplies; maintain purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, machinery, and equipment, ensuring operational standards are met.
• Enter and retrieve work-related data through computerized systems for accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate power lifting equipment safely.
• Complete life safety inspections, including testing fire pumps and generators, and inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarms.
• Contribute to disaster response protocol development.
• Respond promptly to guest repair requests, ensuring high-quality service.
• Assist leadership in staff hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and safety regulations; report hazards, maintenance issues, accidents, and injuries timely.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality at all times.
• Interact with guests in a welcoming manner, anticipate their needs, and support guests with disabilities.
• Foster positive workplace relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns thoughtfully.
• Promote quality standards, identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost savings.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Physically perform duties requiring bending, twisting, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and using stairs or ramps.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School program is required.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a related engineering maintenance role is essential.
• At least two years of supervisory experience is required.
• No specific licenses or certifications are mandated for this position.
