Job description
Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets. This role acts as the store manager in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily operational tasks and staff management.
- Contribute to shelf presentation, daily stocking, and packaging/unpacking shipments.
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues escalated by frontline employees.
- Train, coach, and develop store personnel.
- Manage cash handling and perform store opening and closing duties as needed.
- Delegate assignments to team members, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Responsible for hiring employees and conducting performance reviews.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years of retail experience.
- Minimum two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Availability to work varied shifts including day, evening, and weekends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
