About the Role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and meeting sales targets. This position also acts as the Store Manager in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and staff management.
- Participate in display setup, shelf stocking, and packing/unpacking daily shipments.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and handle escalated issues.
- Train, coach, and develop store employees.
- Manage cash handling as well as store opening and closing duties as needed.
- Assign tasks to team members while maintaining store safety and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Responsible for hiring and performance appraisals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least two years of retail experience.
- Minimum two years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
