Job Overview
This role involves ensuring the precise receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of stock while keeping the stockroom or warehouse orderly, clean, and secure.
Key Duties
- Manage customer complaints and repairs related to stock.
- Receive incoming stock shipments, checking quantities and product descriptions against delivery documents for accuracy.
- Inspect stock visually for any damage and report any irregularities immediately.
- Maintain precise stock records and support periodic stock counts.
- Pick and prepare stock items for customer delivery and collection.
- Assist safely with loading and unloading merchandise.
- Monitor stock levels continuously and report shortages or damaged goods.
- Accurately document all stock movements.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization within the stockroom or warehouse.
- Arrange stock neatly and securely to avoid damage or loss.
- Investigate and promptly report any stock discrepancies to management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of Grade 12 education.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is an advantage.
- Familiarity with stock control procedures is preferred.
