Position Overview
The Assistant Store Manager (Duty Manager) is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and managing staff during their assigned shifts. This position requires effective leadership and hands-on experience within the supermarket sector. Candidates with backgrounds in apparel, fashion, quick-service restaurants, or lifestyle retail who possess strong leadership and customer service skills are also welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations effectively during assigned shifts.
- Oversee floor operations, staff allocation, and customer service quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, and control of shrinkage.
- Supervise billing counters to ensure accuracy in transactions.
- Address customer escalations to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Assist the Store Manager in driving sales and meeting targets.
- Lead, coach, and motivate store associates to perform optimally.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing store operations and supervising teams.
- Strong understanding of merchandising, inventory management, and customer relations.
- Basic educational qualification is acceptable.
