Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager (Duty Manager) is responsible for overseeing daily store functions, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and managing personnel during shifts. This position requires decisive leadership combined with hands-on experience in retail, especially supermarkets. Candidates from related sectors such as apparel, fashion, quick-service restaurants, and lifestyle with robust leadership and customer service backgrounds will also be considered.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient store operations throughout assigned shifts
• Coordinate floor duties, delegate staff assignments, and uphold customer service standards
• Oversee inventory management, stock availability, and minimize shrinkage
• Supervise billing counters maintaining accuracy
• Address customer escalations ensuring satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness, safety regulations, and adherence to store policies
• Assist the Store Manager in driving sales goals and target achievement
• Mentor, inspire, and guide store associates

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage store operations and supervise teams
• Familiarity with merchandising, inventory control, and customer engagement
• Minimum basic education qualification
