About the Company and Position

More Retail Private Limited, affiliated with Amazon, is a prominent supermarket chain in India renowned for quality merchandise and excellent customer service. The company is expanding its presence in South and Central Kerala and North Karnataka and seeks motivated professionals for Store Manager (SM) and Assistant Store Manager (ASM) positions.

Role Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth customer experiences, managing staff during shifts, and enforcing operational standards. Candidates with supermarket/grocery backgrounds are preferred; however, retail experience in apparel, fashion, quick-service restaurants, and lifestyle sectors with strong leadership capabilities will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily store functions effectively during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate floor operations, staff scheduling, and customer service activities.
• Monitor stock levels, inventory accuracy, and minimize shrinkage.
• Supervise cashiering and billing processes to ensure accuracy.
• Address customer escalations promptly and uphold high satisfaction levels.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and compliance standards within the store.
• Support sales achievement initiatives alongside the Store Manager.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate store associates for optimum performance.

Operational Duties

• Store opening and readiness preparations.
• Ensure excellent customer service and store etiquette.
• Uphold grooming and professional standards of the team.
• Manage cashiering and billing operations efficiently.
• Implement loyalty programs and convert sales opportunities.
• Observe customer behaviors and demonstrate commercial awareness.
• Oversee fresh produce (fruits & vegetables) operations.
• Inventory planning, ordering, and management.
• Prevent shrinkage and manage stock postings and non-saleable items.
• Merchandising and visual presentation enhancement.
• Develop customer feedback systems and enhance overall experience.
• Manage floor operations and team coordination.
• Ensure store maintenance and compliance adherence.
• Handle omni-channel operations specifically for Amazon Now/Fresh stores.
• Generate basic reports using Google Sheets.
• Prepare for audits and maintain adherence to SOPs.
• Manage independent shifts effectively.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience for entry-level Store Manager roles; 2-3 years preferred for more senior responsibilities.
• Prior experience in managing store operations and supervising teams.
• Sound knowledge of merchandising, inventory control, and customer handling.
• Basic educational qualification is acceptable.
