Picker / Packer

Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent Picker / Packer to efficiently handle order selection, packaging, and inventory tracking in our warehouse facility. The candidate will be responsible for locating items based on pick lists or digital scanners, inspecting goods for quality, securely packing orders, and updating inventory systems. Safe operation of warehouse equipment and maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate and gather correct products, quantities, and sizes from storage using pick lists, tickets, or scanners.
• Perform quality checks on selected items, ensuring no damage, defects, or expired products proceed.
• Pack items securely in boxes with protective materials, and attach necessary shipping labels or invoices.
• Update inventory records via handheld scanning devices and communicate discrepancies to supervisors.
• Operate warehouse equipment like pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts safely.
• Move prepared orders to loading zones or delivery vehicles as required.
• Maintain tidy workspaces and comply with occupational safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualities

• Physical endurance to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) throughout long shifts.
• Strong focus on detail to accurately match product codes and prevent shipping errors or returns.
• Effective time management skills to achieve daily targets and meet tight delivery schedules.
• Proficiency using warehouse management software, barcode scanners, and automated picking tools.

Compensation

The position offers a monthly salary ranging from 12,500 to 15,000 INR.
