Role Overview

As a Product Engineer, you will be pivotal in transforming genuine customer challenges into reliable, user-friendly software. Collaborating closely with company founders, designers, and rental operators, you'll identify important pain points, craft solutions, and iteratively enhance the product based on real user feedback and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with property managers and internal teams to grasp workflows and pinpoint friction areas to prioritize impactful solutions.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery, from ideation and prototyping through frontend, backend, integrations, testing, and deployment, ensuring optimal user experiences.
• Partner with designers to produce interfaces that simplify complex short-term rental processes and empower users to complete tasks efficiently and confidently.
• Develop event-driven automation pipelines that eliminate repetitive manual tasks such as scheduling cleaning, sending check-in messages, and generating financial statements.
• Incorporate AI capabilities including large language models and AI agents to enhance guest communication, maintenance management, pricing decisions, and portfolio administration.
• Build and maintain robust APIs and integrations with key platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and Google, ensuring seamless connectivity within the short-term rental ecosystem.
• Create solutions addressing real operational problems such as real-time reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing, smart access control, guest journeys, operational forecasting, automation of cleaning and maintenance, owner reporting, and AI-powered monitoring and alerting.
• Continuously measure product performance using customer feedback, usage analytics, and operational outcomes to refine features for higher adoption and efficiency.
• Make thoughtful technical decisions balancing speed, maintainability, security, and reliability as the user base expands.

• Good judgment in balancing usability, feature scope, and technical compromises.
