  • Take ownership of complex features or components from conception through deployment, including testing and operational monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with principal engineers, architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Create and enhance services utilizing AWS serverless and container technologies like Lambda, ECS, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Event-Bridge, and RDS.
  • Implement security best practices encompassing authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, and RBAC.

  • Adhere to compliance and data protection regulations, including GDPR and best practices for handling personally identifiable information.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and support ongoing process enhancements within the engineering organization.
  • Embody company values and encourage an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Five to eight years of experience delivering production-ready software applications in distributed or SaaS environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in either Node.js/TypeScript (asynchronous programming, modular design) or Java (Spring Boot, concurrency, RESTful services) and familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture, multi-tenancy, role-based access control, and SaaS security principles.
  • Experience working with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS cloud services is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of implementing observability features including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures utilizing tools like Kafka, SNS/SQS, Event-Bridge, or Kinesis.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes, Git workflows, automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jest, and Playwright.
  • Capability to design systems for scale, performance, and fault tolerance within given product domains.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform or CDK is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex production issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and cross-functional teams.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and engineering process improvement.
