Mechanical Building Services Engineer

We seek a Mechanical Building Services Engineer based in our Singapore office to contribute technical expertise in the mechanical engineering field primarily for healthcare and data center building projects. This role involves collaborating closely across disciplines to deliver high-quality mechanical infrastructure designs and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute detailed mechanical design tasks, including calculations, simulations, and specifications for building mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Review project scopes, BIM models, specifications, and client drawings to align deliverables with client expectations.
• Maintain consistent quality control and coordinate efforts with other disciplines to ensure design coherence across projects.
• Apply knowledge of local building codes in Singapore and international standards to guarantee regulatory compliance.
• Assist in drafting proposals and bid submissions to support business development.
• Work collaboratively with drafting and design teams to meet project requirements.
• Lead and participate in meetings involving clients, project managers, and various consultants.
• Perform site inspections and provide timely technical responses to queries during construction phases.
• Adhere to established workflows, procedures, and systems specific to each project’s needs.
• Coordinate technical matters effectively with other engineering disciplines involved.
• Establish and foster productive relationships with clients, acting as both a technical contributor and business representative.
• Produce technical reports and detailed specifications describing M&E systems and functional characteristics.
• Support activities related to site supervision and commissioning of mechanical plant systems when necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
• Proficiency with BIM and 3D modeling tools is essential.
• A minimum of four years’ experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably including work with data center projects.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
