Role Overview

Located in Riyadh, you will serve as a Senior Structural Engineer focusing on building projects across Saudi Arabia. Your work will involve diverse sectors like mixed-use, commercial, residential, hospitality, aviation, sports, and high-rise developments. You will advance structural design solutions from initial concepts through detailed designs and construction phases while ensuring adherence to the Saudi Building Code and relevant international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create structural calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, technical notes, and risk assessments in line with project demands.
  • Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and foundation systems, accounting for gravity, wind, seismic, temperature, and settlement forces.
  • Develop safe, feasible, and economical structural approaches from concept through to construction support.
  • Comply with Saudi Building Code and international standards such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, and IBC.
  • Coordinate structural design aspects with architectural, geotechnical, MEP, fire safety, façade, BIM, and other specialist teams.
  • Review structural documents, drawings, models, and material submissions; respond efficiently to contractor inquiries.
  • Support authority and client submissions and handle feedback from stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections and technical evaluations to ensure conformity with approved designs and specifications.
  • Plan and monitor activities to meet scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality targets.
  • Promote continuous process improvement and adopt innovative digital workflows, sharing experience and knowledge.
  • Exemplify safe, ethical, and inclusive conduct in accordance with company values.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proven post-graduate experience in structural design, ideally within an international consultancy.
  • Expertise in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures through various project stages including construction support.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Building Code and global standards like ACI, AISC, ASCE, and IBC.
  • Awareness of Saudi-specific factors such as seismicity, wind, high heat, durability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis/design software including ETABS, SAFE, Robot Structural Analysis, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RAM, Tekla Structural Designer or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with Revit, BIM coordination, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Strong abilities in English communication, organization, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork within culturally diverse environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the broader Gulf region.
  • Arabic language skills.
