About the Role
Join Jacobs, a global leader committed to transforming the world through innovative design and engineering solutions that address critical challenges in urban development, environmental resilience, advanced manufacturing, and more. We are expanding our Advanced Manufacturing team and invite a Telecom Engineer to contribute toward the design of complex and specialized manufacturing facilities including semiconductor plants and data centers.
Responsibilities
- Engage in all phases of telecom systems design including preliminary assessments, conceptualization, detailed design, problem-solving, creation of drawings and specifications, as well as interaction with customers and vendors.
- Serve as the technical expert for specific specialized telecom projects, managing multiple concurrent assignments.
- Design low voltage building systems such as security, fire alarms, voice, data, audio/visual, and other related systems.
- Perform site visits, review and integrate technical documents, and align installation requirements of owners with site-specific considerations.
- Collaborate closely within multi-disciplinary teams and receive mentorship from senior engineering professionals.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of professional experience designing low voltage and communication systems within buildings.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
- Proficiency with Revit design software.
- Self-driven with strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively with various disciplines and clients.
- Preferably holds or is pursuing RCDD certification.
- Electrical Engineering degree or related qualification is advantageous.
- Experience working on data centers, semiconductor facilities, or large scale industrial projects is highly desirable.

Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
