Role Location and Contract Details

This role is based at Oswestry Leisure Centre, Shrewsbury Road, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 4QB. It is a permanent, full-time position involving a 35-hour work week on a three-week rota, with shifts including early mornings, late evenings, mid shifts, and one weekend out of every three.

Compensation and Benefits

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure pool safety and enable safe activities by vigilant supervision of pool users.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patrons of all ages, maintaining positive interactions in a diverse environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the pool area and handle pool equipment properly.
• Be prepared to manage emergency situations and perform rescues if required.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification awarded by the Royal Life Saving Society.
• Possess strong swimming abilities and the capacity to stay alert and safety conscious at all times.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, preferably with experience in leisure or other customer-facing settings.
• Be over 18 years old due to full-time hours including early and late shifts.
