Role Overview

Egis Ireland's Structural – Buildings Division is expanding its BIM team and is looking for an experienced BIM CAD Technician focused on structural projects. This role involves working on large-scale residential apartment complexes, healthcare, and hospital projects across Ireland within a multidisciplinary design team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create detailed structural drawings and BIM models for building projects
• Produce and coordinate AutoCAD drawings, Revit BIM models, reinforced concrete detailing drawings, and schedules
• Manage and control drawings and documents via document management systems
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other design team members
• Participate in design team and coordination meetings
• Maintain BIM and CAD standards throughout projects
• Contribute to the enhancement of BIM workflows and processes

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM modelling
• Expertise in reinforced concrete drawings and related schedules

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 7 years of experience as a BIM CAD Technician within a busy engineering consultancy
• Solid experience preparing AutoCAD drawings, Revit BIM models, and reinforced concrete documentation
• Thorough understanding of BIM coordination and documentation processes
• Experience managing drawings and documents using document management software
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams
• Experience contributing to design team meetings

This role may be based at any of Egis's offices in Ireland, including Dublin, Cork, Castlebar, or Limerick.
