Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to join our Riyadh team. The role involves verifying the conformity, quality, and safety of electrical installations and assisting project teams to uphold construction standards, identify deficiencies, and ensure resolution of electrical matters on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed checks on electrical systems, equipment, and installations ensuring alignment with contract documentation, specifications, and applicable local and international codes.
• Inspect daily electrical, ICT, and ELV systems including medium and low voltage distribution, MV substations, structured cabling, CCTV, fire alarms, security systems, and related infrastructure.
• Oversee installations such as street lighting, apron floodlighting, GPUs, AGL, SAS, and telecom infrastructure.
• Conduct routine surveillance to confirm site activities follow documented procedures.
• Inspect ICT and ELV setups daily including cabling, racks, termination panels, and active/passive components.
• Ensure proper installation and operation of systems like CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarms, and building management interfaces.
• Review and validate work pack documentation and test data to confirm they meet specifications and tolerances.
• Confirm materials incorporated align with approved plans and specifications.
• Witness electrical system testing and commissioning activities.
• Monitor installation techniques, workmanship, and adherence to Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies.
• Review method statements, inspection/test plans, and material submissions for compliance.
• Raise non-conformance reports and ensure prompt corrective actions.
• Keep comprehensive inspection records and report site progress accurately.
• Engage in coordination and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
• Identify and document electrical deficiencies, violations, and safety risks.
• Collaborate with project participants to address electrical issues and support timely project completion.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate logs of findings.
• Stay current with Saudi and international electrical codes, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
• Provide expert recommendations to enhance electrical safety and efficiency onsite.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss electrical requirements and potential hurdles.
• Perform other duties as delegated by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical, ICT, and ELV inspections, ideally with involvement in infrastructure and hanger projects.
• Experience in aviation-related projects is a plus.
• Previous exposure to Project Management Consultant (PMC) roles is advantageous.
• Robust understanding of Saudi electrical codes, SEC standards, and international regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems used in infrastructure projects including street lighting, utility networks, MV/LV substations, and SAS systems.
• Expertise in structured cabling, networking, and integrated system installations.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and diagrams accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and electrical inspection software tools.
