Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduling Control Engineer to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules across major initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, construction, and engineering teams to ensure projects remain on track and aligned with overall objectives. Effective communication and presenting scheduling plans to senior management and authorities are key aspects of this position.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed project schedules using project management software tools.
- Track progress and highlight potential delays or issues affecting timelines.
- Work with stakeholders to devise risk mitigation strategies for scheduling challenges.
- Provide frequent status updates on project schedules to teams and leadership.
- Analyze scheduling data to detect trends and enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Coordinate with construction and engineering divisions to synchronize schedules with project goals.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best scheduling practices.
- Manage schedule change requests ensuring proper documentation and communication.
- Participate actively in project meetings offering expert scheduling advice and solutions.
- Support project managers in formulating budgets and resource allocation plans.
- Adhere to Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures during employment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or line managers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Possess at least 15 years of experience in scheduling control on major national or international projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling control, with the capability to manage and prioritize multiple project timelines.
- Proven ability to present scheduling plans effectively to senior management and governmental agencies.
- Skilled in negotiating with various stakeholders to secure project schedules.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
