Senior Scheduling Control Engineer

Job Overview

The Senior Scheduling Control Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules utilizing project management software while ensuring timely progress and identifying potential delays. This role requires close coordination with project managers and stakeholders to devise mitigation strategies and providing consistent status updates to both project teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update project schedules using specialized project management software.
• Monitor the advancement of projects and proactively recognize areas susceptible to delays.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to formulate plans mitigating identified risks.
• Deliver regular project status reports to teams and management.
• Examine project data to detect patterns that can enhance project outcomes.
• Work alongside construction and engineering teams to align schedules with overall project objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements adhering to best practices in scheduling.
• Manage requests for schedule adjustments, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
• Participate actively in project meetings contributing insights on scheduling and control aspects.
• Assist project managers in preparing project budgets and resource allocations.
• Adhere and ensure compliance with the company's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional tasks as delegated by supervisors or line managers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Possesses at least 15 years of professional experience in scheduling control within major national and international projects.
• Demonstrates in-depth expertise in project scheduling and control techniques.
• Experienced in managing and prioritizing multiple project schedules effectively.
• Skilled at presenting scheduling plans and requirements to senior management and governmental officials.
• Strong negotiator capable of balancing interests among diverse stakeholders to establish project schedules.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English languages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
