Job description

Role Summary

Based in Sturgeon County, Alberta, reporting to the Senior Equipment Manager, the Tools Coordinator is responsible for managing tool, vehicle, and equipment movements in and out of the yard, maintaining organized inventory, and supporting shop operations.

Primary Duties

  • Maintain precise records and oversee the coordination of tools, vehicles, and equipment arrivals and departures from the yard.
  • Organize merchandise and ensure proper upkeep of the shop and yard areas, including loading, unloading, and delivering shipments.
  • Operate various shop machinery such as telehandlers, skid steers, forklifts, and front-end loaders.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of trucks carrying equipment and tools (heavy equipment handling performed by truck drivers).
  • Clean and manage loading of shipping containers ('C-Cans').
  • Adhere to company policies related to warehousing and transportation of materials to diverse job sites.
  • Carry out general shop tasks as required to maintain workflow.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Minimum education requirement: high school diploma.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Certification in forklift operation and familiarity with additional material handling equipment is advantageous.
  • Capability to lift and carry weights up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience operating zoomboom or telehandler machinery is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of construction site tools and handling procedures is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain positive relationships across various teams.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and adapting to new challenges.
