Job description
Job Overview
The Factory Supervisor will oversee the daily functioning of the plant's store and warehouse, ensuring smooth inventory processes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the inward and outward flow of raw materials, spare parts, and finished products.
- Receive and validate materials by cross-checking purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Accurately maintain inventory records and guarantee sufficient stock availability.
- Distribute materials to production or assembly lines as per specified needs.
- Manage electric vehicle components including batteries, motors, controllers, wiring harnesses, tires, chassis, body parts, electrical components, and other raw materials.
- Maintain documents such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), material issue slips, stock registers, and other inventory documentation.
- Carry out periodic physical stock verification and reconcile findings with system data.
- Ensure proper storage protocols, material identification, labeling, and correct handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels, both minimum and maximum, and liaise with the Purchase department regarding material requisites.
- Track and manage issues related to shortages, excess inventory, damaged, rejected, or obsolete items.
- Coordinate activities with teams from Purchase, Production, Quality Control, Accounts, and Logistics.
- Implement and uphold FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) practices as applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the store and promote workplace safety.
- Prepare inventory and stock status reports on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
- Manage stock audits and resolve any inventory discrepancies promptly.
