Role Overview
The Technical Architect is responsible for designing and guiding the implementation of complex Salesforce-based solutions for clients. This encompasses platforms like Salesforce.com products, APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, mobile technologies, and integration/ETL systems. The role requires both strategic and detailed technical expertise to build scalable, high-availability solutions aligned with long-term business growth. Experience integrating systems through APIs and strong software development skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with client stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, communicate deliverables, and manage expectations effectively.
- Convert business needs into robust Salesforce architectures leveraging platform capabilities.
- Lead technical design workshops and create detailed architectural documentation aligned with business goals while identifying gaps between current and target states.
- Supervise Salesforce project governance and ensure compliance with coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high quality and adherence to design patterns.
- Manage technical delivery aspects including custom development, system integrations, and data migration.
- Maintain expected billable utilization in accordance with role requirements.
- Analyze and debug project issues with a deep understanding of the technical landscape.
- Occasionally participate in pre-sales activities such as discovery sessions, technical deep dives, and Proof-Of-Concept (POC) developments.
- Collaborate with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations.
- Travel up to 50-75% to client locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with CRM and strong expertise on the Salesforce platform.
- Demonstrated leadership at senior levels in technical domains.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce product suite including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and Community Clouds.
- Understanding of system architecture to design scalable, performance-optimized solutions.
- Familiarity with design patterns, handling large data volumes, and platform limitations.
- Awareness of data sharing models and visibility rules impacting architecture.
- Experience with platform authentication mechanisms such as SAML, SSO, and OAuth.
- Knowledge of integration tools and connecting Salesforce with diverse business applications (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, analytics).
- Proficient in environment management, release processes, version control, and deployment practices.
- Solid grasp of platform security protocols including TLS and SSL.
- Proven ability to architect systems by identifying gaps and closing them to achieve business objectives.
- Background in building large-scale web systems or experience throughout a software product lifecycle.
- Active Salesforce certifications or readiness to attain relevant certifications after joining.
- Experience will be assessed against core competencies including leadership, volunteerism, or related activities.
