Cloud Solution Architect

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Solution Architect to craft and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud-based solutions. This senior-level position demands technical expertise combined with strategic insight, partnering closely with a diverse range of teams and stakeholders to convert business needs into cutting-edge cloud architectures fostering digital transformation and sustainable technological growth.

Key Duties

• Develop comprehensive cloud architectures that align with business goals, industry standards, and enterprise frameworks.
• Build scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available solutions across application, infrastructure, data, and integration domains.
• Assess and select suitable cloud services, platforms, and architectural designs.
• Create and deploy solutions in cloud environments including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or alternatives.
• Lead initiatives involving cloud migration, modernization, transformation, and efficiency improvements.
• Produce architecture documentation, blueprints, technical designs, and standards.
• Design cloud-native applications utilizing microservices, containers, serverless technologies, APIs, and event-driven models.
• Collaborate extensively with software engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and operational teams through the solution lifecycle.
• Define strategies for integrating applications, databases, APIs, external platforms, and enterprise systems into the cloud.
• Guarantee compliance with security, governance, performance, availability, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Establish and maintain cloud security controls, including identity and access management, network configurations, encryption, monitoring, and logging protocols.
• Identify and implement opportunities for optimizing cloud infrastructure performance and reducing costs.
• Support infrastructure automation through infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Provide architectural guidance during development, testing, deployment, and production stages.
• Analyze technical risks, interdependencies, constraints, and architecture shortcomings, and formulate mitigation approaches.
• Develop technology roadmaps supporting future cloud modernization efforts.
• Monitor emerging cloud technologies and recommend solutions delivering business and operational advantage.
• Mentor technical staff and teams regarding cloud architectures and industry best practices.
• Present architectural proposals and decisions to senior management, technical leaders, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in cloud solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale cloud systems.
• Proficient in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud models, and cloud migration strategies.
• Strong expertise in networking, compute resources, storage, databases, identity management, security, and cloud infrastructure components.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform), CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, APIs, serverless computing, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, analytics, and enterprise integration is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management, resource optimization, and FinOps principles is advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and design capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or hybrid project environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or TOGAF are beneficial.
