Senior DevOps Architect

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Architect specializing in Cloud and Infrastructure to lead the strategic design and management of our enterprise cloud platforms. This role primarily targets Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS environments within the FinTech or Real Estate technology sectors, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring onsite presence and availability to join within 30 days. The position offers a monthly salary of up to 23000 SAR.

Key Duties

• Assume full responsibility for the organization's cloud and infrastructure architecture and long-term blueprint.
• Architect and continuously refine secure, scalable, highly available, robust, and cost-efficient cloud solutions, focusing on OCI and AWS platforms.
• Develop and enforce architecture standards, reference models, best practices, and technology strategies for cloud and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application teams to translate business needs into technical cloud and infrastructure designs.
• Work with security teams to assure compliance with security, identity, access, and risk management standards.
• Lead initiatives that drive cloud adoption, migrations, infrastructure modernization, automation, and optimization.
• Establish and advance DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated configuration and deployment.
• Design and implement strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, backups, business continuity, monitoring, and system observability.
• Assess emerging technologies with attention to scalability, performance, security, cost-effectiveness, and operational simplicity; recommend best-fit solutions.
• Coordinate complicated infrastructure projects involving multiple teams including security, networking, architecture, operations, vendors, and application developers.
• Guide architecture and provide technical leadership throughout major technology implementations and transitions to production.
• Communicate architecture decisions, strategy roadmaps, potential risks, and dependencies effectively to C-level executives and senior leadership.
• Ensure robust documentation, governance frameworks, standardization, and architectural integrity across all infrastructure environments.

Technical Expertise

• Mandatory expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud enterprise cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud components including networking, compute, storage, IAM, security, monitoring, and database services.
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is an added advantage.
• Strong DevOps skills: CI/CD design and execution, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, Docker, Kubernetes, automation of configurations and deployments, version control with Git, scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Proficient in monitoring, logging, observability frameworks, and automation for operational excellence.
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking: load balancing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and network security.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, storage, backup solutions, high availability, disaster recovery planning, business continuity, infrastructure security, compliance, and cost optimization.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, or cloud architecture roles.
• Hands-on background with Oracle Cloud and AWS at enterprise scale.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex infrastructural dependencies and collaborate with diverse technology teams.
• Experience engaging with senior-level executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Background in FinTech, financial services, or real estate technology is strongly preferred.
• Proficient English communication skills are mandatory.
• Preferred educational qualifications include Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Oracle, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.) are a plus but not required.
