Role Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to develop and refine photolithography processes aimed at meeting yield, quality, and performance goals for cutting-edge technology nodes.
- Translate future device specifications into robust process guidelines and equipment strategies.
- Champion early adoption of innovative process methods and equipment to boost operational margins and manufacturability.
- Identify and incorporate advanced technologies into production workflows.
- Collaborate with global research and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transfer of technology.
- Work closely with vendors to expedite breakthrough solutions and manage strategic supplier partnerships.
- Apply statistical techniques, design of experiments, and simulation tools to implement advanced process controls.
- Perform material assessments, reticle/layout and optical proximity correction development, analyze process windows, and optimize overlay accuracy.
- Create intellectual property by contributing to patents and publications, mentor technical staff, and steer technology direction.
- Integrate AI-enabled tools and insights into daily tasks to enhance efficiency, quality, and decision-making while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating, piloting, and sharing AI-driven enhancements within the scope of work.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in semiconductor photolithography or associated process engineering roles; exceptional candidates with at least 7 years will also be considered.
- Extensive knowledge of optics, immersion lithography, polarized illumination, and low k1 imaging techniques.
- Proven experience defining and implementing photolithography process and equipment roadmaps.
- Competency in lithography simulation software, materials characterization, and statistical data analysis.
- Strong grasp of semiconductor fabrication processes and memory chip architecture.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Practical experience with cutting-edge lithographic materials including 365nm, 248nm, 193nm wavelengths, and EUV technologies.
- Hands-on familiarity with state-of-the-art photolithography instruments and metrology equipment.
- Proven record in managing multidisciplinary projects and guiding technology initiatives.
