Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer works independently on engineering tasks within broader projects, performing complex design and analysis duties using established methods, and providing technical leadership particularly by mentoring junior engineers. The role involves preparing detailed design documents, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure compliance and feasibility, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of electrical engineering advancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out specific portions of larger engineering assignments with moderate complexity.
• Collect and analyze fundamental engineering information based on standard procedures.
• Perform calculations and tests related to routine engineering work.
• Develop solutions to novel problems by modifying existing procedures or methods.
• Identify issues in results and implement corrective measures.
• Mentor entry-level engineers on technical best practices.
• Complete core design elements with minimal supervision, adhering to budget and schedule.
• Create and update comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
• Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs meet standards.
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance testing for system validation.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance engineering practices.
• Communicate technical analyses and recommendations to stakeholders and management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design, development, and project execution.
• A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in Saudi Arabia, with in-depth knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and industrial applications.
• Expertise in design calculations, technical analysis, and system modeling.
• Exceptional skills in technical documentation and reporting.
• Proven ability to lead and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Experience in project and budget management.
• Excellent communication skills for technical presentations to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience with large industrial or infrastructure projects in the Middle East.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian Standards (SASO) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) electrical standards.
• Knowledge of international electrical codes such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience in renewable energy and smart grid technologies.
• Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
