Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer specialized in Fabrication and Erection projects. This role requires interpreting technical blueprints, understanding material properties, handling welding and joining processes, and operating machining and fabrication equipment. An emphasis on quality control, project scheduling, client interaction, and thorough documentation is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to direct the fabrication process effectively.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of material properties, focusing on metals, for selecting and working appropriately.
• Apply expertise in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG, alongside other joining methods.
• Operate machinery related to cutting, bending, shaping, and assembly during fabrication.
• Manage painting work including Bill of Quantities (BoQ), measurements, and task execution.
• Implement and supervise quality assurance and control procedures to meet product standards.
• Allocate work tasks and ensure timely completion as per the project schedule.
• Engage with clients to communicate project progress and requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for all phases.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven ability in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of metal materials and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG and TIG.
• Experience operating machining tools and fabrication machinery.
• Capability in managing painting works including measurements and BoQ handling.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and implementation.
• Excellent project coordination, scheduling, and client communication skills.
• Competence in maintaining detailed project documentation.
