Senior BIM Engineer (Site Supervision)

Role Summary

The Senior BIM Engineer will play a pivotal role within the Construction Supervision team, focusing on digital delivery and coordination during major building projects. This position involves leading BIM processes through the construction phase to ensure model accuracy, coordination, and compliance with project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BIM process implementation and management throughout construction supervision, aligned with project and client BIM standards.
• Oversee the review and coordination of federated BIM models across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialized disciplines.
• Evaluate contractor BIM execution plans and submitted models for adherence to project requirements and industry norms.
• Organize and facilitate multidisciplinary coordination meetings to detect and resolve model clashes before construction begins.
• Produce coordinated model views, digital construction sequences, quantity takeoffs, and visualizations to support construction teams.
• Monitor BIM model quality, precision, compliance with naming conventions, development level, and information requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the accurate and timely exchange of project data.
• Assist the Resident Engineer in tracking construction progress using digital tools and BIM-based reporting.
• Ensure preparation and maintenance of asset information and as-built models for project handover.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BIM Engineers, Coordinators, and Technicians.
• Compile BIM progress reports, coordination logs, clash detection summaries, and digital delivery metrics for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications related to BIM are highly advantageous.
• Extensive professional experience ranging between 10 and 15 years, including a minimum of 5 years managing BIM on large-scale construction supervision projects.
