Senior Analog/Mixed Signal IC Layout Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Analog/Mixed Signal IC Layout Engineer will contribute to the Data Center & Energy (DCE) team in either Edinburgh, Scotland or Limerick, Ireland. This role involves developing high-reliability power, connectivity, and analytics solutions for data centers and energy infrastructure. The candidate will design layouts for advanced products involving ADCs, DACs, converters, references, amplifiers, and switches with responsibility for taking projects from floorplanning through tapeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead layout design of complex analog and digital sub-blocks, managing scheduling and verification tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with design, foundry, assembly, reliability, and failure analysis teams to ensure optimal product performance and quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum of three years experience in full custom IC layout focusing on analog/mixed-signal electronics.
• Proficient with Cadence Virtuoso and VXL tools.
• Strong skills in analyzing and debugging verification reports such as LVS, DRC, and Antenna checks.
• Knowledgeable in layout best practices including matching, parasitic effects, noise mitigation, shielding, power supply considerations, latch-up, and ESD protection.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with capability of generating detailed reports.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with deep submicron process technologies such as FinFET.
• Familiarity with precision analog circuits including amplifiers, voltage references, and current mirrors.
