Team Overview

The CSS team at ADI focuses on pioneering technology in sensing and signal processing, specializing in areas like Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, and Optical sensing to support the growing portable Consumer market. Role Summary

This position invites passionate physical design engineers to contribute to the Consumer Product development team, tasked with creating mixed-signal subsystems for next-gen consumer products. The designs feature a blend of digital signal processing, embedded microprocessors, and precise analog elements. Locations include Valencia, Cork, or Limerick offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing floorplans, managing power and ground distribution, and implementing clock distribution networks.
• Performing logic synthesis, cell placement, and routing interconnects efficiently.
• Conducting equivalence checks, timing closure activities, and physical verification including LVS and DRC.
• Collaborating closely with RTL designers to overcome challenging technical problems.
• Taking ownership of sizeable digital subsystem implementations from inception to delivery.
• Planning schedules and tracking project progress diligently.
• Working effectively with engineers across diverse geographic locations.

Experience and Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical or Electronics and Communication Engineering with over 10 years of digital implementation experience.
• Comprehensive expertise in floor planning, place and route, clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, ECO methodologies, power assessment, and physical design validation.
• Broad familiarity with synthesis and managing timing constraints.
• Essential experience with digital implementation at 40nm technology nodes.
• Proficient scripting skills in Tcl, SKILL, and Perl languages.
• Hands-on experience with current physical design tools, preferably Cadence.
• Experience handling version control systems such as Perforce or Methodics.
• Knowledge of CPF/UPF power format methodologies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso toolsets is a plus.
• Understanding foundry design regulations and preparing tape-out ready GDS2 databases considered a strong asset.
• Capability to manage technical ownership and demonstrate practical implementation skills as required.
• Robust interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities are essential.
