Position Summary

We are searching for a Senior Analog/Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit Layout Engineer to join our Data Center & Energy (DCE) team in Edinburgh, Scotland or Limerick, Ireland. Our DCE division focuses on delivering highly reliable power, connectivity, and analytic solutions for current data center and energy infrastructures. This role involves working on innovative product designs encompassing a broad spectrum of precision technologies such as ADCs, DACs, converters, voltage references, amplifiers, and switches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the layout process of complex analog/digital sub-blocks, which includes scheduling, floorplanning, verification, and tapeout
  • Collaborate closely with design, foundry, assembly, reliability, and failure analysis teams to ensure product performance and quality meet expectations

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience specializing in full custom IC layout for analog/mixed-signal circuits
  • Proficient with Cadence Virtuoso and experienced in using VXL tools
  • Strong skills in interpreting and troubleshooting verification results including LVS, DRC, and ANTENNA checks
  • Expert knowledge of standard layout methodologies: layout matching, parasitic extraction, noise management, shielding, power supply considerations, latch-up protection, and ESD techniques
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills
  • Ability to thrive within a globally distributed team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with advanced deep submicron processes, such as FinFET technology
  • Background in precision analog circuit design including amplifiers, voltage references, and current mirrors
