Senior AI Engineer with Banking Sector Experience

Role Overview

We are partnering with a premier banking and financial services firm actively investing in advanced artificial intelligence and digital transformation technologies. They seek a seasoned Senior AI Engineer to spearhead the creation, implementation, and rollout of enterprise-grade Agentic AI and Generative AI applications. This position demands a blend of hands-on development, cloud platform architecture expertise, and leadership within a highly regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development efforts for Agentic AI systems, large language models (LLMs), and multi-agent AI frameworks.
• Architect AI platforms employing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, embedding techniques, and advanced knowledge retrieval mechanisms.
• Design and deploy scalable AI systems leveraging cloud services in Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with orchestration via Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Create production-ready AI services using Python programming, API development, microservice architecture, and streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and strategic guidance to AI engineering teams across multiple projects.

Technical Expertise Required

• Advanced proficiency in Python with robust software engineering and API development skills.
• In-depth understanding of large language models, Generative AI techniques, RAG concepts, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AI-centric frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), containerization tools (Docker), orchestration systems (Kubernetes, OpenShift), and machine learning operations (MLOps).
• Solid experience working with Kafka, Spark, SQL databases, version control using Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and AI model monitoring tools.

Experience and Academic Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years in software engineering, with at least 4 years specializing in AI or machine learning development.
• Demonstrated success in deploying AI solutions in production environments.
• Strong expertise in AI system architecture, cloud infrastructure engineering, and integration within enterprise-grade applications.
• Mandatory experience within the banking or financial services domain.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
