Role Overview

Farmfoods seeks a full-time Retail Supervisor for its Rotherham, South Yorkshire store. This permanent role involves working 39 hours per week across five days, with shift start times from 7 AM throughout the week including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist store management by supporting and leading the retail team to maintain efficient shop operation and excellent customer service.
• Manage the store independently in the absence of the manager, ensuring customer satisfaction, timely processing of deliveries, and adherence to store cleanliness and safety protocols.
• Responsible for shop opening and closing procedures, cash handling, order placement, and team development.
• Monitor and control operational expenses including shrinkage, waste management, and payroll.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships within the team and with customers.
• Reliable and trustworthy, capable of meeting responsibilities consistently as a vital team member.
• Previous supervisory, team leadership, or managerial experience in retail or a related sector is advantageous but not mandatory; passionate individuals keen to begin a retail management career are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check (for England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (for Scotland) upon employment to confirm absence of any relevant convictions.
