Shop Manager

Position Overview

Farmfoods is seeking a dedicated Shop Manager to lead operations at our Dewsbury store in West Yorkshire (postcode WF12 8AR). This is a full-time role requiring 45 hours per week scheduled over 5 days, including weekends. Flexibility across shifts is essential for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example and actively participate in daily store operations.
• Inspire and manage your team to ensure efficient shop functioning and outstanding customer service.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of staff by providing coaching and mentorship, fostering internal talent.
• Maintain accountability for the store's performance, ensuring customer care, prompt delivery processing, and adherence to store protocols for safety, cleanliness, and orderliness.
• Control key operational costs such as shrinkage, waste, and payroll to meet all key performance indicators, with direct reporting to the area manager.
• Ensure compliance with standards regarding customer service, cash handling, health and safety, stock control, merchandising, and store presentation.

Requirements

• Trustworthiness and dependability, vital for contributing effectively to a small team.
• Previous experience as a manager or assistant manager in a retail setting.
• A full driving licence is preferred but not mandatory for consideration.
• Successful completion of a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check conditional on employment.
