Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking Canteen Assistants to join our team at the new Farmfoods distribution centre located in Logicor Park, Daventry, Northamptonshire (Royal Oak Way N, NN11 8QL). This full-time position involves preparing both hot and cold meals, serving food, and maintaining kitchen hygiene in a fast-paced environment. Positions are available starting September with various shift options, including afternoon, late, and night shifts.
Working Hours and Compensation
- Standard working hours total 37.5 hours per week spread over 5 days.
- Shift patterns include late shifts (14:00 to 22:00) and night shifts (22:00 to 06:00), covering at least one weekend day.
- Hourly wage is £14.85 for employees aged 21 and over; £12.35 for those under 21.
- Overtime opportunities are frequently available for additional earnings.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals, including both hot and cold food items.
- Serve customers at the food counter efficiently and courteously.
- Manage receipt and storage of kitchen deliveries ensuring proper inventory maintenance.
- Replenish fridge stocks to maintain food availability standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen tools, equipment, and surfaces to meet hygiene standards.
