Role Overview

The Program and Partnerships Lead will be instrumental in enhancing Te Rourou’s influence by forging and nurturing partnerships within One NZ, philanthropic entities, community organizations, and private sector collaborators. Working closely with the Head of Foundation, the role entails overseeing leadership initiatives, bolstering partnerships, and facilitating opportunities that connect One NZ employees with communities throughout Aotearoa.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver Te Rourou’s foundational funding programs aligned with its three strategic pillars, ensuring thorough due diligence, effective reporting, and quality assurance in program execution.
• Assist the Head of Foundation by maintaining transparent accountability, along with rigorous program oversight for all funded projects.
• Establish and sustain trustworthy relationships with community partners, co-funders, and philanthropic stakeholders.
• Lead both internal and external engagement activities and events with Te Rourou’s Community Partners to enhance the foundation’s visibility and demonstrate impact.
• Support thought leadership that includes conducting research and developing articles, presentations, and case studies targeted at philanthropic and private sector audiences.
• Design and promote valuable volunteering opportunities that connect One NZ employees with local communities across Aotearoa.
• Embed Te Ao Māori perspectives and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles within partnerships, program development, procurement processes, and organizational practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record in managing stakeholders and partnerships within the philanthropic or private sectors locally or internationally.
• Demonstrated experience in executing programs and projects to a high standard, achieving measurable results.
• Strong aptitude in crafting communications that effectively engage and achieve goals.
• Competent in utilizing data and insights to illustrate program and partnership impact.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including experience preparing and delivering presentations to various audiences.
• Commitment to applying a Te Tiriti / Te Ao Māori framework in work practices; conversational fluency in Te Reo Māori is advantageous.
• Interest in leveraging AI technologies in day-to-day responsibilities; familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is beneficial.
• A tertiary qualification in commerce or communications is desirable.
