About the Role
This position is based in Auckland only. As a vital team member responsible for data stewardship of key data assets, you will partner with business stakeholders to comprehend challenges and apply your expertise to design robust, scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert analytical insights into practical solutions by collaborating closely with business teams to implement enhancements and streamline operations.
- Prioritize data ingestion tasks; analyze, comprehend, and prepare complex and novel datasets for seamless inclusion in project architectures.
- Effectively communicate insights through summarization, visualization, and presentations geared toward management and business users, making intricate data understandable and actionable.
- Address complex analytical challenges for both internal stakeholders and external clients spanning multiple business areas.
- Clearly explain the strategic significance and business impact of your analyses, providing recommendations for action and advocating for solution adoption and process optimization, emphasizing both qualitative and quantitative benefits.
- Work in close partnership with data governance and compliance teams to ensure ethical and appropriate utilization of Equifax data assets.
- Monitor project progress and report back to relevant owners.
- Leverage enterprise Artificial Intelligence and automation tools proactively to simplify data preparation, enhance complicated SQL/Python queries, and speed up insight generation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or an equivalent area of study.
- Have at least two years of work experience in a data analyst role with a proven history of producing significant outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong skills in SQL, BigQuery, R, Python, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, Tableau, and Looker.
- Experience working collaboratively within teams to deliver descriptive and diagnostic data analyses.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explore new capabilities and unlock data monetization potential.
- Proven use of AI-driven productivity tools for enhancing technical output and problem-solving speed.

Work Environment
The work schedule focuses on four days of intensive, in-office teamwork Monday through Thursday, complemented by a flexible remote workday on Friday to conclude your week.
