Job description
Job Overview
The role involves designing, constructing, repairing, and maintaining high-precision metal stamping dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures. Candidates will interpret blueprints and CAD designs and operate machines such as lathes, grinders, and mills to achieve exacting tolerances. Troubleshooting production challenges and performing preventive upkeep are also key parts of the position.
Primary Duties
- Design and fabricate stamping dies, tools, and measurement gauges for metal manufacturing processes.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, resolve issues, and repair existing dies and tools to reduce production downtime.
- Perform quality assurance by testing finished dies and tools with trial runs and make adjustments as required.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in tool making or die engineering.
- Diploma in Tool & Die Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Location
The position is based at Aptiv Connection Systems in Kochi, Kerala, India.
