Role Summary

The Handyman position involves performing maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting duties to ensure smooth operations within Toters’ facilities, particularly the Fresh warehouses.

Primary Duties

• Execute routine and corrective maintenance tasks within company premises.
• Undertake basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
• Address maintenance requests promptly, resolving issues within specified timeframes.
• Conduct periodic inspections to detect defects or maintenance requirements.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Assist specialized technicians and external contractors as needed.
• Support tasks related to warehouse renovation, equipment installation, and fit-outs.
• Ensure proper usage and upkeep of tools and machinery.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the workplace.
• Report significant technical problems that need specialized attention.
• Document completed maintenance activities and materials utilized.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a technical diploma or equivalent certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or similar technical discipline.
• Have practical hands-on experience with general maintenance and repair tasks.
• Experience working in retail, commercial, warehouse, or comparable environments is advantageous.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance processes.
• Strong abilities in troubleshooting and pragmatic problem-solving.
• Capable of working autonomously and effectively responding to urgent maintenance situations.
• Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
