About the Role
As a Power Platform Engineer at a financially backed advisory and accounting firm, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the organisation's AI capabilities. This role is foundational, moving beyond pilot projects to embed agentic AI technologies into live business workflows. Directly reporting to the CIO, you will be instrumental in scaling AI-powered systems that deliver meaningful operational value across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement AI agents and intelligent automation workflows targeting core business processes.
- Utilise Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio to build integrated solutions.
- Deliver workflow-driven AI applications designed to solve practical challenges rather than just theoretical demos.
- Integrate AI components with existing infrastructure through APIs and Azure cloud services.
- Transition pilot use cases into standardized, governed, and repeatable AI systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to discover automation opportunities within business workflows.
- Ensure all solutions comply with privacy policies, governance standards, and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on commercial experience creating and deploying AI agents specifically using Copilot Studio.
- Strong technical expertise in Power Platform suite: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI in operational business contexts beyond prototypes or experiments.
- Competency in Microsoft Azure services, API integrations, and automation tooling within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Comfortable and capable of managing the full project lifecycle from initial workflow analysis through development to deployment and iteration.
- Excellent communication skills appropriate for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to function autonomously as a senior individual contributor.
- Experience in environments such as financial services, professional services, or legal sectors is highly desirable.
Additional Information
This position is based in Sydney's Central Business District and follows a hybrid work pattern requiring three days on-site each week. The compensation package can reach a base salary of up to $210,000 annually plus superannuation benefits.
