Platform Engineer

Position Overview

Join CGI as a Platform Engineer and contribute to the creation and operation of dependable, scalable cloud platforms that support vital services enabling clients to deliver with assurance. You'll engage with Microsoft Azure and AWS, leveraging cloud-native technologies, automation, and observability tools to enhance application delivery and platform performance. The role encourages ownership, innovative improvements, and impactful contributions to platform reliability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance cloud and platform engineering activities across Azure and AWS ecosystems.
• Deploy, operate, and configure Kubernetes applications and services, including scaling and networking aspects.
• Design, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins.
• Develop and sustain Grafana dashboards to offer valuable insights regarding application and platform health.
• Set up Prometheus monitoring, metrics, and alerting for proactive identification of issues.
• Diagnose and resolve application and infrastructure incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and remediation.
• Utilize Elasticsearch and Kibana to support logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting where applicable.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive automation enhancements, improve tooling, robustness, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud platform engineering.
• Strong skills in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
• Proven ability to develop and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps automation, deployment, and operational best practices.
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring through Grafana and Prometheus.
• Advanced troubleshooting expertise across applications, cloud infrastructure, and platform services.
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK stack) is advantageous.
• Experience or exposure to Java Spring Boot applications is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
