Senior Platform Engineer with AWS Specialization

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, develop, and enhance AWS cloud and hybrid cloud platforms for enterprise reusable products. The purpose is to build secure, cloud-native capabilities that empower AI teams to efficiently develop, test, and operate applications on AWS without duplicating infrastructure or controls. The focus also includes AI service operationalization, security, and managing cloud cost optimization through FinOps practices.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect reusable AWS AI platform products, including service contracts and tenancy models.
• Design and deploy production-level AWS environments using a landing-zone methodology.
• Manage and scale AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Rekognition, Textract, and Lookout.
• Standardize infrastructure deployments with Terraform, creating version-controlled modules, platform APIs, SDKs, automated validations, and release workflows.
• Engineer runtime patterns involving Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda functions, containers, EventBridge, message queues, streams, and workflow services.
• Enforce security best practices including least-privilege IAM, workload identities, secrets management, encryption, and private VPC connectivity.
• Automate security policies, evidence collection, and compliance enforcement in delivery pipelines.
• Design secure service-to-service and cross-account communication strategies.
• Manage API lifecycle through AWS API Gateway and Kong API management tools.
• Create automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Workflows for infrastructure and applications.
• Provide self-service onboarding resources, templates, documentation, and establish paved-road engineering patterns.
• Monitor cloud resource usage with alerting to control budget overruns and optimize FinOps.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud environment.
• Proficient in Terraform with expert-level infrastructure as code skills.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services including Amazon Bedrock, EKS, Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Experience specifically with AWS Bedrock and SageMaker machine learning services.
• Advanced understanding of VPC design, subnetting, Route 53, and Direct Connect technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with API management, particularly AWS API Gateway or Kong.
• Strong skills in Cloud and Solution Architecture.
• Practical experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD and Terraform automation.
