Key Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and maintain tools aimed at boosting developer productivity, system infrastructure, and DevOps processes.
• Participate in the architecture design and implementation of large-scale monorepo build systems such as Bazel, Buck2, CMake, and Rattler/Pixi.
• Automate workflows to guarantee reliable operations, rapid iteration, and quick feedback for developers.
• Collaborate effectively with product development, infrastructure, platform, security, and quality assurance teams on cross-functional projects.
• Optimize and sustain CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automation of deployments.
• Deploy and integrate robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms for developer tooling and system health.
• Assess and improve developer productivity through metrics like build times, failure rates, deployment frequency, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and time to market.
• Lead efforts in performance tuning, scalability enhancements, and implementation of best practices in reliability engineering.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship, contributing to the establishment of engineering standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Rust, and/or Python with at least 7 years of software development, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of build systems fundamentals with practical expertise managing large-scale monorepo build environments; familiarity with Buck2 or Bazel/Blaze is highly advantageous.
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix toolchains, including practical experience with compilers, linkers, and native code management.
• Extensive experience working with DevOps tools and methodologies, including monorepos, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Podman, Configuration as Code, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Demonstrated success in optimizing performance and scalability in expansive and complex codebases.
• Analytical and methodical approach to resolving intricate productivity and infrastructure challenges.
• Strong organizational skills combined with excellent communication and collaboration capabilities across diverse teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

Desired Additional Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Conda, Rattler, or Pixi build systems.
