About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to perform both internal and external painting and decorating tasks within the Plymouth area. The role requires completing preparation and minor repairs on walls and surfaces before painting, utilizing equipment safely, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare walls by making minor structural repairs to ensure surfaces are ready for painting.
- Deliver painting and decorating services to a consistently high standard for both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Operate the required tools and equipment safely in line with guidelines.
- Report any complaints or issues promptly to supervisors or line managers.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a recognized qualification in painting and decorating or a minimum of five years verifiable experience in the trade.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship is preferred.
- Good knowledge and adherence to health and safety practices relevant to the role.
- A full driving licence is desirable.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage all tasks regarded as standard for a painter and decorator.
Additional Information
This is a permanent full-time position offering 39 hours per week located at Mitie's Faraday Mill Business Park in Plymouth. The pay rate is £15.00 per hour plus benefits.
