About the Role
Join Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services as a skilled and dependable Painter and Decorator working on various residential and commercial projects. This permanent, full-time position based in Rutherglen, Glasgow requires a commitment of 38 hours per week and offers an hourly pay rate of £15.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, and filling any holes or cracks to ensure a smooth finish.
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes on walls, ceilings, and various surfaces.
- Accurately measure and estimate the materials needed for each task.
- Complete all assigned work to a high standard within established deadlines.
- Protect furniture, floors, and fixtures to prevent damage during decoration.
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent working condition.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards throughout all job activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Painter and Decorator with proven skills.
- Sound knowledge of painting techniques and appropriate materials.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring quality craftsmanship.
- Strong time management skills and dependability.
- Holding a full UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
