About the Role
Join our rapidly expanding "Defence & Intelligence" division in Cologne, where you will support diverse clients including major companies in the Rhine-Ruhr region, public sector organizations, and defense entities. As a Microsoft MECM / SCCM Engineer, you will take technical ownership for the establishment, enhancement, and operation of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM) infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Designing and optimizing MECM infrastructure within complex IT environments.
- Packaging, distributing, and managing software lifecycle in large enterprise settings.
- Automating operating system deployment for Windows clients and possibly servers.
- Analyzing and resolving technical incidents, including root cause investigations.
- Automating installation and configuration procedures using PowerShell, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
- Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate MECM processes into CI/CD pipelines.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, operational concepts, and manuals.
- Engaging in communication with international teams, requiring proficient English at C1 level.
Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM / SCCM), specifically related to infrastructure setup and operation, software packaging and deployment, and operating system deployment.
- Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and processes.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as PowerShell, PowerShell DSC, and Ansible.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
