Role Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will play a vital role supporting clients during the manufacturing process by strictly following established facility operating procedures. Emphasis is placed on maintaining safety and quality throughout all tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing planned preventive and urgent corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing machinery.
- Handling electrical and mechanical components and assemblies.
- Providing thorough documentation of root cause analysis, problem resolution, data records, and corrective measures for equipment and system failures.
- Reporting failure causes accurately while adhering to detailed operational instructions and protocols.
- Complying with cleanroom standards and internal company policies.
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality benchmarks.
- Conducting quality inspections following established process criteria.
- Utilizing MS Office and proprietary computer systems as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses both electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Has at least 2 years of practical experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork capabilities within diverse groups.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills, punctuality, and communication abilities.
- Can adapt to varied assignments and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Eager for new challenges and committed to advancing their engineering career.
Working Hours
The position follows a compressed 4-shift cycle featuring 12-hour day shifts, inclusive of weekends.
Role Requirements
- Technical or mechanical certification at NFQ Level 6 or above, or equivalent industrial experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience performing scheduled installations, maintenance, and repairs as an equipment maintenance technician.
- Competency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical measuring devices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Availability to work within a 4-shift 12-hour rotation covering day and night shifts including weekends.
Physical Attributes
- Possess physical endurance to stand, stoop, walk, and reach continuously during a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).
