Overview
A prominent organization in the food manufacturing industry is looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance functions at a high-output processing location. This pivotal role involves ensuring equipment dependability, maintaining site infrastructure, and achieving full adherence to food safety, health & safety, and operational guidelines.
Key Duties
- Direct entire engineering and maintenance activities across the site.
- Manage schedules for preventative maintenance and equipment calibration.
- Guarantee compliance with food safety, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Promptly coordinate repairs and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Monitor and report engineering key performance indicators to upper management.
- Drive continuous improvement and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Work collaboratively with external vendors and internal departments.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in food manufacturing or similar regulated environments.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory background within engineering or maintenance teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance and quality systems.
- Skilled in root cause analysis, handling deviations, conducting training, and managing documentation.
- Capable of independently managing tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting abilities.
