Vanderlande leads globally in airport baggage handling, parcel sorting, and warehouse automation systems. Based at the Jeddah facility, the Maintenance Technician 1 will undertake maintenance and reactive service activities on material handling equipment to maximize operational productivity, asset reliability, and safety compliance within set timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain machinery including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling, and conveyor equipment by consulting diagrams, wiring schematics, manuals, and manufacturers’ guidelines while employing hand and precision testing tools.
• Adhere strictly to safe working protocols, particularly Lock-Out/Tag-Out safety procedures.
• Manage service requests including emergency and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities and monitor follow-up on corrective maintenance jobs.
• Document all service call reports accurately.
• Recommend and implement subsystem optimizations in collaboration with supervisors to improve service quality.
• Create and enhance service support tools.
• Clear conveyor jams and resolve system errors promptly.
• Maintain functionality at manual encoding stations and load correction points.
• Complete computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) reports, track parts usage, and maintain warranty records.
• Procure and request appropriate spare parts when necessary.
• Perform regular inventory checks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance independently on-site.
• Identify issues related to planning or tooling and suggest process improvements.
• Assist peers in fault diagnosis and resolution.
• Troubleshoot and rectify common faults autonomously.
• Mentor and coach junior technicians.
